Plitvice Lakes

Plitvice Lakes National Park is one of the biggest natural attractions in Croatia, and it is also the most visited National Park. Only 108 km away from Karlobag and 95 minutes drive to a beautiful natural oasis protected by UNESCO for natural world heritage. On a trip to Plitvice Lakes, visitors can see as many as 16 lakes, waterfalls and travertine barriers. Velebit Nature Park

Velebit Nature Park is 38 km away from Karlobag, ie a 30-minute drive separates you from an active excursion in beautiful nature. You can experience a sporty day such as mountaineering, cycling, rafting, sport fishing or mountaineering in the fresh mountain air. Also, for relaxing walks on mountain roads, rich diversity of flora and fauna and a large number of caves and pits are some of the unavoidable facilities in the Velebit Nature Park.

Old city Zadar

A visit to the city of Zadar includes many activities, from a walk through the old town that remembers a long history from ancient times, to entertainment for children. Only 70 km from Karlobag and 75 minutes drive, Zadar will delight you with its beauty. Inevitable sights such as the church of Sv. Donat as a symbol of the city – built in the early Middle Ages in the traditions of early Byzantine architecture. Rab – Zavratnica

The island of Rab has a rich history and today is known under the pseudonym “happy island” while the bay Zavratnica is one of the most beautiful bays in the Adriatic is a real hidden gem. From Karlobag to Rab is only 45 km or 1 hour drive (farry included). On the island of Rab, in addition to beautiful bays and neighboring islands, you can visit various sights and the old town that enchants. An excellent choice for a trip where you will be surprised by the wonderful nature of the island – from numerous sandy beaches on the Lopar peninsula and stunning hidden coves on the Kalifront peninsula to preserved holm oak forests, fertile valleys and rocky mountain peak Kamenjak.

Novalja

From Karlobag to Novalja you are only 28 km or 30 minutes drive (car + ferry line Prizna – Žigljen). Novalja is a town located in the northwestern part of the island of Pag and an ideal entertainment location with various facilities for young people. Apart from beautiful bays around the island with hidden beaches such as Caska, Dražica, Potočnica, the largest beach Zrće is also a party location with the most popular clubs Papaya, Aquarius, Nomad, Noa and Kalypso and various accompanying facilities such as jet skis, sky lift, boat party etc. An unavoidable location for entertainment.

 

Lun

Lun is a small village in the north of the island of Pag. A romantic place almost on all sides surrounded by the sea in its center preserves the ancient Lunja Olive Gardens. The olive trees in the Lun olive groves are several hundred years old and are protected as a botanical reserve. Surrounded by smaller places like Jakišnica, Potočnica, etc. It also preserves beautiful hidden bays for swimming with clear sea without crowds. Gospić

To the town in the center of Lika – Gospić, from Karlobag is only 40 km or 35 minutes drive. The town is located on the three rivers Lika, Novčica and Bogdanica, and Godpić is one of the youngest towns in Croatia. Unmissable locations to visit in addition to the natural beauties that surround Gospić, is the Memorial Center “Nikola Tesla” in Smiljan. Starigrad Paklenica

Starigrad is a small village and port on the shores of the Velebit Channel. A place 48 km away from Karlobag and 45 minutes drive separates you to a beautiful hiking and sea location. Paklenica National Park is a karst phenomenon and consists of a rich range of flora and fauna. Starigrad Paklenica is the starting point and from there you start an adventure and a trip through the Paklenica National Park, which is a special part of Croatian natural heritage.
